Abstract
Mrežne industrije imaju važnu ulogu u svakodnevnom životu te se sa njima susrećemo gotovo svakodnevno. Od sustava bankomata i kreditnih kartica do velikih mrežnih industrija poput industrija energije, telekomunikacija, prometa, poštanskih usluga i drugih. Te su industrije nužne za svakodnevni život i zbog toga mrežne industrije imaju veliku ulogu u modernoj ekonomiji. Odabir pravilne strategije kod mrežnih industrija je veoma bitan jer upravo na temeljima pravilno odabrane strategije leži konkurentska prednost na temelju koje će tvrtka postići moć nad kupcima, konkurentom ili tržištem. Upravo je postojanje konkurencije jedan od glavnih razloga zbog čega je potrebno odabrati pravilnu strategiju. ICT je temelj ekonomije i društva 21. stoljeća, a nalazi primjenu u svakoj grani gospodarstva, u svim područjima znanosti te u državnim institucijama i društvu uopće. Mrežne industrije su na pravom putu da postave temelje nove svjetske ekonomije, a korištenje interneta i informacijskih tehnologija (IT) kao temeljnih medija komuniciranja, uvelike će u tome doprinijeti.
