Abstract
Od prvih UNIX operacijskih sustava, postoji pitanje distribucije softvera na istima. GNU/Linux platforma u novije vrijeme ima nekoliko izbora što se tiče distribucije samog softvera. Inače, operacijski sustav koji je manje zastupljen kao desktop os, zadnjih godina postaje sve popularniji. Jedna od potencijalnih nejasnoća koje zapadnu pridošlice ovomu operacijskom sustavu je kako instalirati softver. Ovaj radi bavi se upravo tim pitanjem, počevši od uvijek prisutnih upravitelja paketima koji postoje od začetaka GNU/Linux operacijskog sustava. Biti će obrađeni najpopularniji takvi upravitelji i njihovi izvori podataka odnosno repozitoriji. Rad će se fokusirati na nekoliko glavnih predstavnika starijih i popularnijih GNU/Linux distribucija. Nakon toga biti će objašnjene sve popularnije novije platforme za distribuciju softverskih paketa poput Snap-a, Flatpak-a i AppImage-a. Rad će završiti praktičnim dijelom gdje će biti prikazana osnovna funkcionalnost svega navedenog te usporedba platformi kroz njihove prednosti i nedostatke kao zaključak.
