Abstract
U radu je obrađeno tržište kriptovaluta. Obrađeno je nekoliko kriptovaluta koje imaju najveći utjecaj u svijetu, te je detaljno definiran način rada odabranih kriptovaluta. Definirani su ključni pojmovi kao što su blok-lanac sustav i algoritmi za utvrđivanje konsenzusa. Objašnjena je razlika centraliziranih i decentraliziranih sustava, njihove prednosti i mane ovisno o konfiguraciji te njihova primjena kod kriptovaluta. Također je prikazana važnost sigurnosnih mehanizama koji kontroliraju mrežu bez nadzora treće strane. Kod obrade Bitcoin-a i Ethereuma vidljiv je nedostatak stabilne vrijednosti kovanica te je prikazana važnost Tether-a u tim situacijama.
