Abstract
U ovom radu dat će se pregled temeljnih smjerova stragijskog menadžmenta. Sukladno različitim pristupima, objasnit će se pojam konkurentske prednosti, primarno iz pozicija shvaćanja prema tzv. „modelima okoline“ i prema „resursno utemeljenom gledištu“. U radu će biti objašnjen Porterov model „pet sila“, kao i neki drugi modeli u vezi kvantificiranja ili kategoriziranja strateške pozicije i konkurentnosti. Navest će se i objasniti veći broj značajnih činitelja koji mogu određivati konkurentnost i konkurentsku prednost. Rad će biti zaokružen istraživanjem konkurentnosti odnosno konkurentske prednosti odabranih poduzeća iz hrvatskog gospodarstva.
