Abstract
Unatoč naporima u okviru politike poticanja ženskog poduzetništva, žene u Republici Hrvatskoj još uvijek su manjina u poduzetništvu. Nakon definicije ženskog poduzetništva i prikaza problematike položaja žena u poslovnom svijetu, u radu se daju na pregled čimbenici koji potiču žene na pokretanje vlastitog poduzeća te se definiraju izazovi s kojima se susreću žene poduzetnice. Uz navedeno, prikazuju se institucije i programi koji potiču i daju potporu ženskom poduzetništvu te se diskutiraju razlike između ženskog poduzetništva u Republici Hrvatskoj i Europskoj uniji. U drugom dijelu rada tema se obrađuje u praktičnom smislu što obuhvaća analizu prepreka u poslovanju na primjerima žena poduzetnica u Republici Hrvatskoj. Za dobivanje podataka potrebnih za istraživanje koriste se sekundarni izvori dostupni putem Interneta te intervjui s poduzetnicama. Na temelju rezultata formirane su preporuke za politike poticanja poduzetništva žena, kao i implikacije za poduzetničku praksu.
