Abstract
Zalihe su količine nekih stavki, koje poduzeće drži na skladištu, da bi moglo zadovoljiti promjenljivu unutrašnju ili vanjsku potražnju. Zalihe su amortizer između (ujednačene) proizvodnje i (neujednačene) potražnje. Upravljati zalihama znači odrediti koliko i kada treba naručiti koje stavke, kako bi zalihe ostvarile svoju funkciju amortizera.
