Abstract
Na početku rada obrađeni su matematički pojmovi koji su nam potrebni za ovu temu, točnije uređeni skupovi, Kartezijev produkt, relacije (binarne) i njihova svojstva, te relaciju parcijalnog uređaja i totalnog uređaja. Zatim slijedi uvod u formiranje FIFA-ine rang ljestvice gdje ćemo reći nešto o povijesti FIFA-e kao organizacije i njezinog nastajanja pa sve do danas. U nastavku objasnit ćemo detaljno kako se dođe do izračuna bodova za neku reprezentaciju na FIFA-inoj rang ljestvici i pokazati nekoliko primjera vezanih uz to. Drugu ljestvicu koju ćemo obraditi biti će ATP ljestvica. Prikazat ćemo primjer osvajanja bodova i prikazati trenutni poredak na ATP listi. Završni primjer koji ćemo obraditi je Kup nacija u motokrosu te prikaz kako se nakon završenog natjecanja formira ljestvica reprezentacija koje su sudjelovale na natjecanju.
