Abstract
U radu su objašnjene definicije Open Sourcea i Free Softwarea, te opisane licence izdane pod tim načelima. Prikazan je proces razvoja otvorenih operacijskih sustava, način rada u razvojnom timu, komunikacija unutar tima, razvojni alati, te arhive koje se koriste pri razvoju takvih sustava. Na kraju rada još su opisani primjeri najpopularnijih otvorenih operacijskih sustava.
