Abstract
Prvotno je u radu opisana biometrija kao znanstvena disciplina i osnovni pojmovi radi lakšeg razumijevanja tematike. U glavnom dijelu rada je opisana sama šarenica ljudskog oka, prepoznavanje, segmentacija, normalizacija te kodiranje i podudaranje uzoraka šarenice. Kako bi se provela usporedba šarenice oka za identifikaciju osobe u praktičnom dijelu rada, uz primjenu kamere MK 2120 U/UL, opisana su softverska rješenja tvrtke IriTech.
