Abstract
U ovom radu ukratko je objašnjena sama povijest i razvojni put videozapisa od prvobitnih "sličica u pokretu" pa sve do današnjih visokokvalitetnih digitalnih videozapisa. U teorijskom dijelu prikazana je "preteča" digitalnog videozapisa, a to je analogni videozapis. Opisani su počeci digitalizacije i njena važnost za popularizaciju videozapisa kao neizostavnog dijela današnje digitalne svakodnevice vezanih uz vijesti, zabavu i samu edukaciju te su opisane najbitnije karakteristike. Nadasve, opisani su formati videozapisa i video kodeci koji su omogućili prilagodbu kvalitete i veličine sadržaja, dok je u praktičnom dijelu provedena usporedba nekolicine besplatnih alata za obradu videozapisa na temelju koje je u konačnici i provedena obrada videozapisa uključivši dodavanje vizualnih efekata i tranzicija, ali i audio efekata.
