Abstract
Rad se bavio usporedbom tehnika strojnog učenja u predikciji akademske uspješnosti na skupu podataka iz akademske okoline. Tehnike strojnog učenja korištene su stabla odlučivanja, metoda K-najbližih susjeda te neuronske mreže, a podatci su prikupljeni od strane znanstvenika sa Politehničkog instituta Portalegre. Za implementaciju tehnika korišten je Python 3. Rezultati istraživanja su pokazali da sve tri tehnike mogu sa velikom točnošću klasificirati studente koje će završiti studij u skladu s propisanim trajanjem studija te studente koje će odustati od studija. Tehnika koja se pokazala najbolja u predikciji akademske uspješnosti je tehnika neuronskih mreža.
