Abstract
U ovome radu obrađuje se tema internetskih informativnih portala koji nastaju kao digitalna inačica medija za širenje informacija, a detaljnije se i opisuju počeci ovakvog načina novinarstva te njihove prednosti i mane. Opisuju se informativni portali u svijetu kao i u Republici Hrvatskoj, a za hrvatske portale uspoređuju se i mobilna i računalna verzija portala kao i njihove osobine. Svjetski portali obuhvaćaju BBC, New York Times i Google News dok su hrvatski informativni portali opisani u radu index.hr, net.hr, dnevnik.hr, jutarnji.hr, večernji.hr i 24sata.hr. U drugome dijelu rada obrađuje se i tema oglašavanja te načina na koji je pojava web portala u širokoj uporabi utjecala na vrste i učinkovitost oglašavanja u moderno doba. Cilj oglašavanja je privući pozornost korisnika na neki proizvod ili uslugu te je oglašavanje način komunikacije kojim se to postiže. Također se opisuju i vrste oglasa kao i načini njihove uporabe.
