Abstract
U ovom radu opisane su tehnike refaktoriranja baza podataka, koje su potom primijenjene na refaktoriranju baze podataka aplikacije za podršku upravljanju ljudskim resursima. Nadalje, u radu su pružene smjernice za pisanje optimalnih upita nad tablicama s velikim količinama podataka te načini optimiziranja odgovora kako bi njihova veličina bila što manja. Prikazana je i implementacija dinamičkog kreiranja parametriziranih upita radi lakšeg izvršavanja istih. Na kraju su uspoređene performanse baze podataka prije i nakon refaktoriranja kako bi se utvrdio učinak provedenih refaktoriranja.
