Abstract
Tema ovog završnog rada je arhitektura modernog chipseta. Prva cjelina obuhvaća povijest PC računala od prvih računala do modernih računala. Druga cjelina pokriva računalne standarde koje moderno PC računalo podržava te pojašnjava sposobnosti tih standarda. Treća cjelina opisuje koncept chipseta, opisuje moderne chipsete i procesore za stolna računala, pojašnjava njihove sposobnosti te prikazuje arhitekturu chipseta koje ti chipseti i procesori čine. Zaključna cjelina uspoređuje chipsete i procesore koji su bili obrađeni, identificira trendove u razvoju PC računala te koristi trenutačne tehnologije i prošle trendove radi zamišljanja potencijalne budućnosti chipseta.
