Abstract
Primarni cilj ovog rada bio je kompresivno prikazati područje interneta stvari u svim njegovim važnijim dimenzijama. Tako je prikazana geneza tog pojma, skup tehnologija čiji je razvoj podupro razvoj područja interneta stvari i najvažniji modeli arhitekture. Dalje je analizirana primjena sustava interneta stvari u raznim domenama i geografskim regijama, te utjecaj dotične primjene na gospodarstvo, tržište rada i poslovne organizacije. Sekundarni cilj rada bio je izraditi ogledni prototip sustava interneta stvari, putem kojeg bi se u praksi prikazali osnovni koncepti obuhvaćeni teorijskim dijelom rada. Shodno s time, izrađen je prototip sustava pametnog kućanstva, te je njegova dokumentacija priložena u empirijskom dijelu rada.
